Revenue Results offers small government offices simplified: account entry, due diligence tracking of accounts, matching like debtors, automated correspondence series, payment plan setup, work list capability, graphical reporting and more. Reporting and statistical information can also be viewed in real-time.

Vancouver, WA (PRWEB) March 2, 2005 -- RevQ, Inc. announced today the premier release of Revenue Results, a dynamic software solution for small government agencies that provides automated debt collection activities and processing for the hundreds or thousands of accounts of which small governments are required to work.

“This new release of Revenue Results offers a number of features that smaller government offices need in order to collect on outstanding accounts,” said Bruce Randall, President of RevQ. “In the collection industry, the smaller government offices have been overlooked by most software providers. Applications designed for private agencies were the only option, and they are not the best fit for specific government needs. Now governments have a very affordable option that is designed specifically for them, and it can pay for itself very quickly.”

Revenue Results is available as a standalone installation or as an ASP model accessed through the Internet. The software offers small government offices simplified: account entry, due diligence tracking of accounts, matching like debtors, automated correspondence series, payment plan setup, work list capability, graphical reporting and more. Reporting and statistical information can also be viewed in real-time.

“Revenue Results gives smaller government offices the ability to control their own delinquent accounts without putting forth a lot of extra efforts,” says Randall. “It is also a great way to manage what you send out to a collection agency.” Small governments now have a choice of how collections can work in their environment with Revenue Results.

Credit card debt goes up while consumers pull back on card usage

March 8, 2005 - Consumer credit card indebtedness is growing at the same time that the proportion of consumers who don’t use a credit card in a given month is growing, according to the latest Cambridge Consumer Credit Index. Since credit cards are the primary means of payment for online retail goods and services, credit card usage trends are of importance to online retailers.

45% American cardholders are making only minimum or no payments on their outstanding credit card balances, up from 42% who did so in 2004, the Cambridge Consumer Credit Index reports. 37% paid less than half but more than the minimum payments, down from 39% in 2004, and 17% paid more than half the balances due, down from 19% last year. 39% paid their balance in full, the same as last year but down from 43% in 2003. 33% did not use a credit card in the month prior to the survey, up from 29% in 2004 and 26% in 2003.

At the same time, though, more than half of consumers who are revolving a balance are doing so because they are confident they can pay it off: 53% in 2005, up from 51% in 2004 but down from 56% in 2003. Those not paying off the balance because they didn’t have the money represented 47% of revolving balance holders in 2005 vs. 49% a year ago and 44% in 2003.

Answer the Phone: Your Identity is on the Line

Beverly Hills, CA -- (ArriveNet - May 06, 2005) -- There hasn't been much good news in the battle against identity theft lately, with fraudsters staying one step ahead of the game. But don't panic, our old friend the telephone has come to the rescue.

We're all aware of the problem of identity theft, but did you know that your local pizza chain has had a solution for years? You recognize it as the system that prevents little Johnny from having twenty pizzas delivered to your door at midnight: the pizza chain calls you immediately after the order is placed to verify the validity of the order. Because little Johnny is afraid to be caught, he'll think twice about causing this pizza-related havoc.

TeleSign's patent-pending verification system has transferred this pizza concept to the high-tech world. It works like this: after filling out a form on a website, the user is prompted to enter his phone number. A robotic system then places a call to that number and speaks aloud a unique three digit code. Once that code is entered into the website, the authentication is complete. This system can be implemented at any point on a website: at registration, purchase, a specific time interval, or at the request of a user.

Email verification is the current standard for user authentication, but email may end up filtered, junked, bulked, or trashed. Because of spam, viruses, and phishing, email filtering has become so aggressive that even legitimate emails don't reach the inbox. But a telephone call cannot be stopped, making this the perfect time for the introduction of TeleSign’s solution.

The future of ecommerce is threatened by rampant fraud and lack of trust. TeleSign will force anonymous users to expose their faces by revealing their working phone numbers.
