There Is Unknown Information On Mesothelioma Treatments

JustMeso Offers Information on Treatment Options

JustMeso.com offers a plethora of information on treatment options for mesothelioma.

(I-Newswire) - Mesothelioma, the deadly disease that has been at the forefront of global medical and legal research for the last decade, is becoming increasingly susceptible to advanced treatment options.  While the disease is not yet curable, if caught very early there are a wide range of rather divergent medical treatment options which have had substantial success in limiting the harmful effects of malignant mesothelioma.

While there are a number of treatment options available, often there is a great deal of unknown information regarding what the procedures available are and how they work.  To that end, JustMeso.com (  http://www.JustMeso.com  ) has provided comprehensive information about the disease, its causes, and now the treatment options available to those diagnosed at its website.

The site explains in great detail the many traditional and new treatments available to those diagnosed with malignant mesothelioma, such as surgical solutions, radiation, and chemotherapy.  JustMeso.com breaks down each category into its component procedures as well as providing information on the extent of a procedure, its level of invasiveness, as well as an analysis of the costs and benefits of each specific procedure.  This analysis includes summaries of information on the effectiveness and the scope of the effectiveness of a particular treatment option.

Combined, the information compiled by JustMeso.com in their treatment options section ( http://www.justmeso.com/treatment/ ), provides those diagnosed as well as their loved ones with a comprehensive resource from which they can attain a deeper understanding of the diseases as well as assess either own situation in light of the present treatment options available.  This information can prove valuable insofar as it will give individuals an excellent overview of the options available to them.  Through this information, individuals affected by mesothelioma can make more educated decisions about their own situation as well as be better situated to provide support for others. Of course, none of the information on JustMeso should be taken as medical advice, and a person should always consult their physician before taking treatment.

JustMeso.com ( http://www.JustMeso.com ) is based in the United States.  It was created with the intent of providing a single resource for individuals seeking information about malignant mesothelioma.

New Mesothelioma Cancer Search Engine

Mesothelioma Search Engine To Consolidate Medical and Legal Information

New lung cancer search engine provides information on medical and legal web sites for those researching this asbestos-caused killer cancer

Minneapolis, MN (NTS) February 23, 2006 – On the one-year anniversary of the launch of their Vioxx Search EngineInternet consulting firm Nielsen Technical Services today announced the launch of their Mesothelioma Search Engine.

Niche search engines or vertical search engines have increased in popularity, but the time and expense of creating and maintaining a search engine for a highly vertical segment of an available search audience is generally not a good investment financially. When asked about the financial viability of such a site, owner Chris Nielsen said, “We have some interested parties that would like to be associated with us and are exploring those options, but will not compromise our values for the sake of making a buck. The massive amount of money the asbestos and mesothelioma lawyers are spending have resulted in a feeding frenzy which has spawned thousands of sites and millions of pages of fluff, trash, and recycled content. I admit our site is expected to carry ads at some point, but that is not the reason for creating the site.”

Nielsen was then asked the reason for creating such a site. “I just could not find a central source to go for information where sites were not bidding or competitively optimizing for position and search engine ranking. Search engines are fighting to maintain relevancy but they are having problems. Many ‘scraper sites’ are only looking to get visitors that will click on ads to reach real content. If you try a search for ‘mesothelioma’ it should be clear what the problem is.”

As with their Vioxx medical and legal search engine, Mesothelioma Search Engine will carry no paid search engine results or paid inclusion of sites. The site has a form for visitors to suggest sites. The list of sites included in the index is posted on the site and clearly shows mesothelioma site owners if their site has been included. It is also available for download, a feature not offered by other search engines.

The company is indexing selected sites for those looking for more information such as patients, researchers, families, doctors, pharmacists, students, and those in the legal profession. This site is offered as a public service for those looking for information related to medical and legal information on mesothelioma lung cancer, or asbestos lung cancer for which there is no cure and is caused by exposure to asbestos fibers or asbestos dust.

About Nielsen Technical Services
The company is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota and has been providing computer and software services since 1988. The Internet has transformed the company from a hardware services company into Internet consulting and specializes in search engine optimization.

Auto Surfing Users Wipe Out As Ponzi Wave Ends

StormPay Clients: 'Not Getting Mad ... Getting Even'

January 31, 2006: The Day "The Storm" Rolled In.

Austin, TX (PRWEB) February 24, 2006 -- For thousands of folks earning money in the auto surfing industry, January 31st will be remembered as their September 11th due to activities by a payment processor that changed the lives of many folks and companies. "It certainly caught most off guard and has been a lively last month with individuals scrambling to protect assets and earn justice thru the legal channels." said Mike Bromell, a Texan, who had spent a month working a half dozen auto surfing programs before events unfolded that has drawn national attention.

StormPay is based in Clarksville, Tennessee and was founded in 2002 and served as a payment intermediary for online auction sites and other Internet businesses such as 12DailyPro and Alien Trust, 2 auto surfing programs Bromell was active with. "The concept is similar to the television advertising model in that companies would allow me to stay at home and surf a minimum number of websites daily and earn a certain percentage of money each day based on the purchase of advertising units. At the end of January my account and the accounts of thousands from across the world were frozen via StormPay and the fight to protect our assets is on in many countries." In the first part of February the BBB in Clarksville received over 18,000 complaints regarding StormPay and the complaints have spread to the point of authorities such as the FBI becoming involved.

To help associates across the world try and retrieve funds, Bromell and his partner have unveiled a program that will help promote the recent activities involving StormPay as well a method for eventually to recoup financial loses. "Listen, I don't have all the facts and I hope this issue is resolved," said Bromell, "but I know a lot of folks that were hurt emotionally and financially. A 3rd party payment processor can not freeze funds, change their TOS agreements and threaten folks for legally doing charge backs with their credit card company. Enough is enough and we have a simple method that folks should enjoy."

Stormygear.com debuted on February 22nd and has a simple concept. "In sports, you don't get mad, you get even," said Bromell. "and we are giving folks an opportunity to let others know about the activities of StormPay and at the same time earn some money back for the hit many took recently." By purchasing one or more high quality silicone wristbands (with "BOYCOTT STORMPAY" debossed on the band) a portion of the money will go into the "offline" autosurf fund and the fund will be used to pay commissions to members in the a new program available the first part of March. "This gives folks a chance to beat StormPay at their own game and earn commissions by boycotting their services. The feedback has been excellent and our goal is to sell 200,000 wristbands," said Bromell.

There is also a StormyGear Afflilate Program in place that offers members a 35% commission for purchases made by visitors referred from individual websites. To be eligible for this program one must first be registered as an affiliate and after registering individuals may select which copy-n-paste code they wish to add to their website or homepage to display a link to Stormygear.com. Approval is instant and folks can start earning commissions today!!!

Internet Radio Program To Feature Credit Damage and Identity Theft Attorney

Wrongful Credit Damage and Identity Theft Attorney and Expert Robert F. Brennan to Appear on Everyday Wealth Internet Radio Program

Wrongful credit damage and identity theft expert and attorney will appear as a featured guest on Gerri Detweiler's "Everyday Wealth" Internet Radio program on Thursday, February 16, 2006 from 12-1 p.m. P.S.T. The link to the program is wsRadio.com/EverydayWealth.

La Crescenta, CA. (PRWEB) February 14, 2006 -- Wrongful credit damage and identity theft expert and attorney Robert F. Brennan will appear as a featured guest on Gerri Detweiler's "Everyday Wealth" radio program on Thursday, February 16, 2006 from 12-1 p.m. P.S.T. The link to the program is wsRadio.com/EverydayWealth.

In this particular episode, among other topics, Mr. Brennan will discuss how to handle debt collectors and creditors that "re-age" accounts. By law, most derogatory credit information is supposed to come off a consumer's credit report after 7 and one-half years. However, many debt collectors try to get around this by "re-aging" the debt when they take it over. In other words, debt collectors report the date of first delinquency on the debt as being years more recent than the actual date. The result inevitably is that the debt remains on the consumer's credit report longer than is permitted by law, thereby giving the collector more opportunity to collect on it.

Debt collectors also change account numbers when reporting debts to "re-age" them. There are a number of tricks that collectors play to wrongfully damage consumer's credit reports, and Mr. Brennan is not only an expert at detecting them but also in resolving them to the consumer's advantage.

About Robert F. Brennan: Robert F. Brennan, Esq. and his firm, Brennan, Wiener & Associates, handle identity theft and wrongful credit report damage cases and have a track record of successfully cleaning up credit reports and also of obtaining compensation for their clients. Mr. Brennan is well known for taking this fairly technical area of the law and breaking it down into its simplicity so that anyone can themselves, without the assistance of an attorney, handle identity thefts and also clean up derogatory marks on their credit reports which do not belong there. When consumers find themselves unable to clean up their credit reports on their own, that’s where Brennan, Wiener & Associates steps in, to ensure that the wrongful derogatory credit marks created by identity thieves get cleaned up and to ensure that the consumers so affected receive adequate compensation.

For further information, contact Robert F. Brennan at (818) 249-5291. You can also visit his websites at www.socalcreditdamage.com or

High-Cost of Lawsuit No Longer Barrier To Reaping Financial Benefits

Plaintiffs Solve Financial Stress Through Lawsuit Funding

Those faced with the high-costs of a lawsuit are now reaping the financial benefits with Lawsuit Funding.

Bartlesville, OK (PRWEB) February 12, 2006 -- With the high-costs of legal services today, consumers whose personal injury, wrongful death, or other civil lawsuits are dragging on often feel demoralized and are willing to settle early for much less than the suit is worth. To serve this growing need, Lawsuit Funding companies have now arrived to assist people with the means to a fair legal settlement.

Lawsuit Funding companies work by advancing plaintiffs the funding needed to continue forward without putting themselves in financial danger. These funding companies regularly use the services of consulting companies to summit the plaintiff's application to be considered for funding. The funding they provide can help plaintiffs pay their bills and continue with medical treatment, while it can help lawyers who don't have a lot of funding pay for expensive expert witnesses and other expenses related to pursuing the lawsuit.

Historically, this kind of funding was prohibited by ancient common laws, which referred to it as champerty or barratry. However, in the litigation atmosphere of our time, not having the cash reserves of the large companies put plaintiffs at a serious disadvantage. Except in Ohio, all American states have eliminated these laws, helping ordinary people have more of a fighting chance. But traditional lenders still don't advance money on even the most certain lawsuit. And attorneys are forbidden by ethics and professional organization to discuss lawsuit funding with their clients.

Still, lawsuit financing companies have risen to the challenge. Claude Washington of www.wnafastcash.com explains how it works to the benefit of the consumer: “...These are funded by businesses who provide other large-cash transaction services to the legal industry, companies who are able and willing to help plaintiffs stay the course until their lawsuits are settled fairly in a court of law. …If the lawsuit, for some unanticipated reason, is decided against the plaintiff, lawsuit funding companies are prohibited by law to try to collect the funds advanced to plaintiffs."

Computer Users Hidden Data Returns From The Dead

Hidden Data Haunting Computer Users

By Brian Bergstein
The Associated Press

BOSTON -- When the New England Journal of Medicine used a word-processing function to reveal that Merck had deleted study data about Vioxx and heart attacks, the pharmaceutical giant joined a long line of organizations bitten by information lurking in electronic files.

It's happened to organizations from the Pentagon to the British prime minister's office.

Each time, making minor electronic adjustments to documents aired juicy details not meant for public disclosure -- such as the true author of a file or sensitive data hacked from a final draft.

The pitfalls of such hidden "metadata" have long been known in computer-savvy circles, but these high-profile leaks are driving new efforts to keep a lid on metadata. So sensitive is the topic for the U.S. government that the National Security Agency released guidance in December on how agencies can properly redact reports.

For the corporate world, several companies are finding success in selling tools to automatically scan for and remove metadata.

Metadata is data about data. A word-processing document, for instance, has metadata on who authored it, when someone saved it and what that person did to it. Microsoft's Word program has a "track changes" feature that preserves a file's original text and shows another person's edits. All that is metadata.

This information is designed to stick around because it can help people organize their files and collaborate with one another.

But because it doesn't show up when a document is printed and doesn't appear on screen in normal settings, it's easy to forget about.

Fears about the hazards of metadata led Microsoft to pull back on a planned feature in Vista, the upcoming Windows operating system. Originally, Vista was going to let users drag and drop files into spots on the desktop in order to label documents with personalized categories.

But Vista testers told Microsoft it might become "a little too easy" to apply the categories and have them stick permanently to the document, said Mike Burk, a Windows product manager. That could get ugly if a file labeled "projects I hate" were e-mailed to a boss.

Meanwhile, the next generation of Microsoft's widely used Office software, which includes Word, Excel and PowerPoint, will make it simpler to strip metadata from files before they are disseminated.

Even so, Gartner analyst Michael Silver says the problem will remain -- metadata will exist in documents unless users make a point of getting rid of it.

"It's still a manual process. It's still something you have to remember to do," Silver said. "Any time you're relying on the user to remember something, there's a good chance that they'll forget."

The Pentagon had a hidden-data episode last May. Before posting a report in Adobe Systems' Portable Document Format about a U.S. soldier who had accidentally killed an Italian secret service agent in Iraq, officials covered up classified information with black bars.

But there's a difference between covering and deleting information. Readers simply uncloaked the text by cutting it from under the black and pasting it elsewhere.

Automated tools to help protect against metadata releases have existed for a while, but they are beginning to see wider use. For example, Workshare sells a product called Trace that scans documents for metadata and ranks the findings by risk level. For most of Workshare's six years in existence, the company's customers were primarily lawyers, who are particularly sensitive about client information escaping to the opposing side.

But in the past year, Workshare has seen business expand to 60 percent of the Fortune 1000, said CEO Joe Fantuzzi. Revenue has surpassed $25 million, and Fantuzzi believes metadata protection is on the verge of being a must-have for corporate technology buyers.

Richard Smith, a computer privacy expert at Boston Software Forensics, mined metadata to determine who in the British prime minister's office worked on a 2003 dossier on Iraq.

Even in a world more attuned to the perils of metadata, however, Smith doesn't think the material will dry up.

"There are simply too many people who work in governments around the world, and there is no way to educate them all about metadata," he wrote in an e-mail. "I expect to see a steady stream of slip-ups in the future."

American Filed Bankruptcy Petitions Offer CPA Opportunity

Flexibility Is Key With New Bankruptcy Laws

Press Release by: Opus One Ventures
Published on openPR 02-09-2006 08:45 am - CET

(openPR) - Last year Congress passed massive legislation that completely altered the playing field of bankruptcy proceedings for both individuals and corporations. The dust is just beginning to settle on the new bankruptcy rules, but already some opportunities for financial professionals have surfaced.

For example, a flexible means test to assess individuals' ability to repay their debts was part of the package. The formula takes into account whether the filer earns more than the state median income and can repay at least $100 a month of their unsecured debt over five years. Legitimate expenses such as food, shelter, clothing, medical care, transportation, attorneys' fees and charitable contributions are taken into account in the analysis.

However, the new law, which became effective October 17, has come under assault for being too restrictive, particularly in terms of the heavy paperwork and filing requirements that it involves. It was the first major revision to the bankruptcy laws since 1978.

According to records available, more than 500,000 Americans filed bankruptcy petitions in the two weeks prior to the date when the new provisions took effect. This compares to approximately 60,000 petitions filed in an average two-week period in previous years.

Website Shows Homeowners How to Avoid Foreclosure

New Website Shows Homeowners How to Avoid Foreclosure

Press Release by: StopForeclosureNow.com
Published on openPR 02-06-2006 10:06 am - CET

(openPR) - Homeowners facing foreclosure now have a new, free resource to help them stop the foreclosure of their home. Founded by Bob Gatchel, a noted realtor and real estate investing expert, StopForeclosureNow.com gives homeowners a wide range of legitimate solutions to help save their home and save their credit.

Port Deposit, MD - When it comes to a mortgage foreclosure, most homeowners aren't aware of the options that they have to help stop this financially devastating situation. To make matters worse, there are several unscrupulous companies and organizations that prey on these unsuspecting homeowners who not only lose their home, but end up financially worse than they were before the foreclosure.

Starting this month, a new website has launched to give homeowners free, unbiased and legitimate information on how to avoid foreclosure on their home - StopForeclosureNow.com

On this site homeowners can learn:

- The 7 Steps to Stopping a Foreclosure
- How Exactly the Foreclosure Process Works
- The Secret Foreclosure Options Your Lender May NOT Tell You
- Foreclosure Scams: Avoid These at all Costs
- How to Legally Repair Your Credit
- Updated News and Laws about Foreclosure Options

These are just some of the topics covered, with more articles and resources being added every month.

"It's my goal to make StopForeclosureNow.com the most complete site on avoiding foreclosure on the internet" says Bob Gatchel the founder of this site.

He went on to say. "As a long time real estate agent and a real estate investor, I've encountered numerous homeowners that were involved in the foreclosure process. These people were under extreme emotional stress due to the fact that they were going to lose their home. These were not lazy deadbeats, but good people that ran into temporary financial problems who were like deer in the headlights watching their homes, their dreams and their good credit being taken away. What was worse there were unscrupulous investors and lenders out there that took advantage of them and literally stole their home from them. If these unfortunate people knew the rules, and knew their options, they could have avoided this whole situation entirely. That's why I created this site. To help people facing foreclosure to get the facts so that they can work on solving this problem the right way, rather than losing their home."

Bob Gatchel is a long time real estate investing consultant and Realtor in Elkton, Maryland. As the founder of StopForeclosureNow.com, he also lectures on a wide range or real estate topics to Realtors, investors, and homeowners.

Avoid Costly Credit Card Late Fees

5 Ways You Can Avoid Costly Credit Card Late Fees

by: Edward Vegliante

Credit card late fees are a fact of life for some consumers, but they don’t have to be for you. Legally, credit card companies can hit you with pretty much whatever fees they want. On the other hand, you don’t have to pay them, but only if you avoid them in the first place. Here are five sure fire ways you can avoid costly credit card late fees:

1. Pay Before the Due Date. Of course, this makes the most sense. However, this is also the single most important reason why people get socked with fees: they receive their bill and immediately forget about it! When you get your bill, open it up and pay it promptly. Waiting means forgetting and forgetting about your credit card bill will cost you money.

2. Pay on the Internet. If you have access to a computer, then paying online is the best way to make certain that your payment gets to your credit card provider on time. Be careful, as there is still some lag time from when you authorize funds to be released from your checking account and when that payment is finally credited to your credit card account. The gap between the two can be as long as one week!

3. Schedule Automatic Payments. Some credit card providers allow for you to set up a scheduled deduction from your checking account which is then automatically sent to your credit card provider. You should set it up to take money out of your account well before the due date to ensure that your funds are received on time. You can always send in a separate, extra payment if you want to pay down your debt faster too.

4. Question a Late Payment. Even if the credit card company claims that your payment was late, it doesn't mean that you must be charged a late fee. Contact the company and ask them to reverse their charge –- which usually runs between $29 and $39 -- and to expunge their records of your tardiness. You not only want to avoid any fees, you want to avoid their possible notification of your lateness to the three major credit report agencies [Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax]. Any information supplied to the credit reporting agencies can work against you in the form of higher interest rates on current cards as well as on future loans!

5. Go with the Citi Simplicity Credit Card. Now, consumers have a new option to help them avoid late fees: Citi’s new Citi Simplicity card doesn’t charge late fees. Please click the link below for more information about this breakthrough card.

Taking the appropriate action can help you to avoid late fees and allow for you to keep more of your money in your pocket. Become better informed and start saving money today!

Home Foreclosures From Consumer Debt is Annoyance to Avoid

Debt is More than Annoying; It Could Cost You Your Home

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 2, 2006--

First-Ever National Public Service Announcement Campaign Addresses Growing Home Foreclosure Problem; Promotes 888-995-HOPE Help Hotline

It's a national epidemic: Within the last five years alone, nearly 2.9 million households in the United States have experienced foreclosure.

To combat the nation's rising foreclosure problem, the Homeownership Preservation Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization is launching what may be the first-ever nationwide public service campaign to specifically address the nation's growing foreclosure problem. The campaign encourages homeowners to call the Foundation at 888-995-HOPE to receive free, confidential advice from HUD-certified counseling agencies. Based in Minneapolis, the Homeownership Preservation Foundation is dedicated to reducing foreclosures and preserving homeownership for American homeowners.

According to the Homeownership Preservation Foundation's president and executive director, Walt Fricke, there's plenty of blame to share for the nation's rising foreclosure problem, from homeowners who have not educated and informed themselves about the obligations of taking on a mortgage, to the availability of easy credit. Regardless, says Fricke, no one wins when a foreclosure touches a neighborhood.

"Besides the obvious loss to a homeowner and his or her family, the values of homes near foreclosed properties drop dramatically when a home is boarded up. A typical city may lose up to $33,000 per foreclosed home, and a typical mortgage company may lose $50,000 or more per home," says Fricke. "One way or another, all consumers suffer and end up paying more."

To drive awareness of the Foundation's toll-free hotline, the campaign will leverage two 30-second TV spots, two 15-second TV spots, three 60-second-radio spots and one 30-second radio spot, as well as two print executions. One of the radio spots specifically addresses the needs of homeowners affected by Hurricane Katrina; another radio spot is available in Spanish to reach Latino homeowners. The broadcast spots are being distributed to TV and radio stations throughout the United States beginning in January.

The theme of the campaign focuses on moving homeowners who are facing financial difficulties from a state of "denial" to taking action before it costs them their homes. In each television spot, an actor personifies the nagging, annoying thoughts that weigh on a homeowner who is experiencing financial difficulty. In one spot, an actor appearing as a blue-collar worker is screamed at incessantly as he goes through his daily motions at work. In the other PSA, a woman experiences her annoyance from the moment she wakes up, and it continues as she prepares to leave home for work.

"We've counseled more than 50,000 homeowners and we've learned that the earlier a homeowner acknowledges their financial difficulties and calls us, the more options we have in helping that homeowner," says Walt Fricke, president and executive director of the Homeownership Preservation Foundation. "By the time a homeowner actually has been served a foreclosure notice, there is sometimes little we can do."

Unfortunately, notes Fricke, based on industry data and a recent Harris Interactive survey of homeowners, slightly more than 50 percent of homeowners avoid contacting their mortgage company for help.

"Our campaign is designed to reach out to this 50 percent -- those who are uncomfortable calling their mortgage company," Fricke says.

Colle + McVoy Advertising and Exponent Public Relations, both of Minneapolis, developed the campaign. The creative team included Dave Keepper, creative director; Glenn Gray, art director; and Brian Ritchie, copywriter. The TV public service announcements were directed by New York director Brendan Gibbons, whose other commercial credits include campaigns for CNN, Verizon, ESPN and M&Ms candies.
